I have a 20" iMac with 2GB oh RAM and I was wondering if and how would be the best way to sell it to get a MacBook Pro... Is there an exchange program on Apples website? Or am I going to have to goto eBay?

eBay. Or some local Apple resellers (if you even have one) will do some trading.

You might also try Craigslist. Getting a buyer in your area that would come look at it and pick it up and give you cash on the spot (or even the MacBook you're looking for) might be a better deal than worrying about shipping, eBay scammers, and eBay itself with its new anti-seller protection policies (like holding money for a certain time before you can withdraw it to your bank, until the buyer leaves positive feedback)

(Don't fall for the people who offer checks, money orders, or PayPal for a computer purchase, even if they offer more money for shipping. All three of these can be reversed, and then you're out the computer AND the money)

I have done lot's of trading and selling through craigslist. I will say that I would always recommend meeting the other person at a coffee shop or somewhere very well lit and not at home. You never know who actually responds to those adds.

Meeting at home is fine, too, as long as you have a crowbar handy or are significantly larger in size than the interested party.

I would also suggest trying your luck at Craigslist. Meet up somewhere public like Starbucks or Panera and if it doesn't work out then you can try eBay or other similar websites.
