GPS seldom works

Howdy. I am having an issue with my GPS. It seems to never work unless I do a soft boot. It will then work, but when I go back to use it again it does not work until I soft boot again. Has then happened to anyone else? Should I take it into Apple? Thank you.

Im in Texas also (clear lake) and dont have a problem with my gps. The only thing i have problems with is sometimes my blue dot wont pop up showing me where i am untill i am moving. If i am in my house or office it wont show up but a soon as i get in my car it will show up fast.

I would say take it back. Having to continuosly reboot the iPhone is not normal. The iPhone stores a "Crash Log" so Apple will be able to see the fequency of the boots and what's causing the problem. Mark

Are you Jailbroken? If you're Jailbroken then it is possible that it is affecting the GPS. If you do intend on taking it back to Apple make sure that you restore it (if Jailbroken) so the Apple genius doesn't just turn you away.

Which phone? Which software? Jailbroken? Need more details. But mine works fine, and I've even used it in Dallas. :-)

I would also recommend returning the phone. The GPS is amazingly accurate on my phone over 95% of the time.

I would also recommend exchanging your iPhone. Mine works 95% of the time, even in the house.
