Delete your backup in iTunes and resync. If that doesn't get rid of it, remove all your apps and resync them. If that doesn't work, remove all apps AND media and resync. If that doesn't work, restore.

I do not know how you go about it other than maybe just doing a restore.

should be In preferences under the iPhone tab.

Basically, something is f'ed in the iPhone's filing system, and it's just a matter of erasing the problem, and writing over it. What needs to be done to fix it will depend on where the error is. It may be itunes messed it p during a backup (which would mean deleting the backup could help), it could be the addressing in your media is messed up (which could be fixed by unsuncing and resyncing all media), or it could be in the OS itself, which can only be fixed with a full restore.

I would just restore and be done with it.

I've seen iTunes not display the contents of my iPhone correctly. It usually corrects itself.

Make sure you got 8.0.1.

Also, in your e-mail setting you can choose how much e-mail to show. I have mine on "50 recent messages." You can choose up to 200 which could take up a lot of space.

Good Point! ... I also make it a point to delete emails that I don't need to keep, and file in the Archive those that I need to hold on to. This seems to help a bit as well.
