Is there anything that can take out scratches

I noticed that my case HAS scratched the back of my phone a bit. I didn't know if there was anything that could take out fine scratches or at least lighten them up. Maybe like a little bit of car wax or scratch x? What do you guys think?

I know that Apple sells some stuff that takes scratches off their ipods....Check it out.
