What does it mean when in my system profiler under power and condition of battery it says ( check battery)?

hmm... mine says "good". Maybe it's telling you there's been a significant degradation of the battery's capacity. how long have you had it?

Mine use to say good, that is why i was wondering if my battery is going bad.

yeah, rechargeable batteries will lose their capacity over time, so that may be what the Profiler is referring to (they could certainly be a little less cryptic).

how long have you had the battery?

The computer is about 1 year old

in that case, you shouldn't be experiencing any serious battery issues. Have you noticed any performance issues, or just the profiler information?

I get the beach ball alot and my batter does not last but an hour and a half to two hours at best with the brightness of the screen turned down
