Everything syncs from mobile me with my itouch except the outlook 2007 calendar. When I go to mobile me prefs in the control panel of my pc and click the sync tab, the calendar option is "grayed out" or unavailable to be checked. Any ideas on how to make the calendar option available to me? Thanks!!

I am having the same problem with Outlook 2003, although my tab is not grayed out and is selected to sync. Alas, nothing will sync from or to my Outlook calendar.:frown:

Ok, after a little experimenting this is what I am finding. If I make a calendar entry on my iPhone and then click Sync on my Windows XP desktop (MobileMe Preferences - Sync Tab), the appointment shows up in "the Cloud" but not Outlook. But, if I make the entry in Outlook and then do the same Sync, it shows up on my iPhone.
So, is there a setting for the Outlook calendar that allows you to choose 2-way sync versus 1-way sync? Or, is this just a restriction of MobileMe?

Has anyone tried using google calendar? It has a sync function and if you can sync through Itunes etc. than it will sync to your outlook on other computers as well. works excellent for me with 07 running on two separate computers. I am able to keep OL on 2 computers & my iphone all synced up perfectly- only need to plug in & run sync to keep things current.

Steve, I have OL 2003 at home and OL 2007 at my office and trying to get the calendars synced is a problem I get appointments duplicated etc. I am signed up with google and know how to use their calendar. Please explain more in depth how you are making this all work with OL. My 3G is not jail broke.
Thanks,
Jerry

u need 2 sign up for a google calendar. Then u need outlook as well. You dl googles cal sync a d choose your option of 1 way sync or 2.
You don't need a calendar on your computer if you just use the G cal.
I started this way b cause I had a touch - wifi only. But then Got the phone. I don't like 2 wait for it 2 load.

I was the Apple store yesterday and there is no way to synch your Outlook, Mobile Me and iphone without a bunch of workarounds.

Well, Outlook syncs automatically with the iPhone and I thought Mobile Me did the same over the air.
So which part isn't syncing? There shouldn't be any workarounds required, assuming you have Outlook and Mobile Me.

Rip,
I agree.
On my wife's iPhone... she has outlook on her home computer. Outlook syncs to the "mobile me" cloud... and the iPhone also syncs to the cloud. Changes on any of them stay in sync. This works for email, contacts, and calendar. The only thing that does not sync are the notes and to-do lists.
Things get more difficult if your outlook is connected to an exchange server and if your corporate IT department chooses to not support the iPhone (very common at this time). In that case... you can still sync via USB. That is my personal setup... and when I dock my phone, my calendar and contacts sync. My corporate email does not sync (I think this is my choice). However... my "mobile me" meail get's delivered directly to my phone... and I also get an IMAP folder in outlook so I can access my "mobile me" calendar from within outlook.
Of course... both my wife and I can access our mobile me accounts on the web from any machine.

I'm having some inconsistency problems. The times on my iPhone all seem to be 3hours earlier than what they are in my MobileMe calendar and some of the changes made on my phone or MobileMe aren't making it back to outlook.
Is there a timezone setting I'm missing somewhere that's causing a 3 hour shift? TIA.
Click on "Settings" , "Mail/Contacts/Calendar", Time Zone support.
I believe if this is set to ON... you specifically specify the explicit time zone that you want your meetings to be displayed. If you set it to "off", then it should follow your phone as you move around.

Genius! Thanks I'd set that on my last trip out west and completely forgot about timezone setting there. Greatly appreciated!!

I have been using MobileMe flawlessly since it was introduced and the iPhone 3G was releasd on July 11, 2008. Everything was syncing perfectly with Outlook 2007 up until the past 2 weeks.
Now the calendar will not sync. I've tried resetting the calendar through MobileMe, I've even turned off the calendar in Mobile Me and tried to sync it through iTunes, but nothing happens. The only thing that has happened was the calendar on the iPhone has been wiped out and is now blank. Any suggestions?
