Edge symbol....

Hi All,

Does anyone know what the small "o" is next to the network?

I know edge is obviously denoted with an "E" and "3g" is 3g connectivity but i'm curious to what the "o" is as there is still a data connection and my iPhone isn't jailbroken as i know you can change the icon that way.

Any ideas....

This should explain it to you. The "o" on the iphone 3g or the "square box" on version 1 was a symbol for limited network connection.

It's showing that you're connected to a GPRS network. GPRS is a network that is much slower than EDGE.
