It might not be acurate but it beats the s--t out off speeds I was getting prior to 2.1. In many cases my 3g service was so bad, the test app. would not even open.

looks good... again thanks for sharing. I'm getting anywhere from .5MB to 1.2MB on 3G. These scores were consistant with what I was getting prior to 2.1

I dont trust this site.. I got 1.6 Mbps and when i tried on iphonespeedtest.com i never got over 400-500 kbps. I don't know which one is the actual true speed. The variation is so much:rolleyes:

I tested that site vs. iNetwork Test and they came out similar.

Can anyone test with iphonespeedtest.com and compare the results? Until they come out same would I believe in these sites. They vary by a HUGE amount.

I honestly think the best way to test speed would almost be to tether your phone to the laptop and just download a file...that'll tell you real quick.

Actually, much more real world is to take a large site and always take the same site/total time that it takes to complete the download.
I usually use howardforums.com....11-12sec with wifi, 18-20 3G...these haven't changed post 2.1 compared to pre.

I'm getting all different kinds of speeds. I don't have good service at my house but 10 minutes from my house I average 320 kbs, 25 minutes north i'm getting like 950 kbs.

I have horrible 3G speeds at the office. 185kbps, basically the same speed as EDGE. I'm going to test at various places in the few days, but if I don't see an improvement, I'm returning the phone. No sense in paying $15 more a month when you're not seeing the speed improvement.
