It work's perfect on 3g.Just did mine in 5 min.I use bitlord as the torrent downloader.The Dev team is awsome!!!!Thank's iPhone-v2 for posting it

I tried this but only was able to browse for the file on the 2nd screen with a picture of the iphone on the left. The continue arrow never lights up. What could be wrong? I am using windows XP and the phone is an original Iphone with 2.1 software. It has no sim card in it.

No it will not... By the way how is turbo sim? Are you happy with it? I have heard that it gets stuck in your phone and gives all sort of network related problems.

Download torrent file with uTorrent (http://www.utorrent.com/), extract with winrar and thats it.

ok i used utorrent got it extracted so now im good i'll do the rest in the morning before I go to work because I have to restore my Iphone and then I have to upgrade to Itunes 8 and all that so long process do it in the morning or after work plus. Hopefully all goes well, cause if dont i will miss my winterboard and cydia stuff :frown: wish me luck until tomorrow night im signing out

I would suggest you to upgrade to 2.1, then use quickpwn. On mine, I still have everything from 2.1 still on the phone after pwning it.

Pwned my phone last night. Got it on the second try. You have to be ready to follow the instructions on when to hold down and or release the buttons. I missed it the first time because I didn't have the phone in my hands.
Otherwise, this was sooo EASY to do.

Am I guessing right when I say that you can't automatically upgrade from the previous update to 2.1? I am assuming that I should safe my apps on my phone (V1), restore and install 2.1 and then JB again. Is this correct?

Restored not upgraded to 2.1, jailbreaked fine using quickpwn, it boots fine, i can make calls,etc. Plug it back in to itunes to restore all my stuff and after its done, it just hangs on the pineapple logo. Funny thing is, itunes still sees it and tries to sync, it can't complete the sync because after a few minutes the phone reboots.

Now its just sitting there, rebooting, and rebooting, and well, rebooting. So it comes down to either taking an unjailbroken 2.1, or a jailbroken 2.1 with none of my stuff on there.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I just did a full restore and gave up everytime I tried to restore it worked fine but when trying to sync the backup it would just be the apple logo and the spinning wheel with the vibrations. So all is lost at least I'm at 2.1 but I've lost all my contacts have to start over again

I think it had something to do with the upgrading process/restore because after I upgraded my jb phone I got a lil cartoon character of Steve jobs and some text in a language I never saw and that was all she wrote

I thin kthe issue lie with FW 2.1..I had a huge issue updating thought the phome was a brick..so I am very concerned on trying this..I think I will wait for 2.2

I would use qwikpwn, it was very easy to JB the phone. Mine was done in about 10 minutes.
