On my 3g I updated both iTunes as well as to 2.1 I synced before and when I was finished with the 2.1 update and then went to back-up from today's date it would give me an error message that "back-up is corupt"...it did this with the couple of other back-up as well. It seems that I have had this problem only since iTunes 8.0. Yes I have the "fixed" 8.0. The problem is I can't seem to have a good back-up no matter what I do?!:frown:

I had a similar problem on my wifes phone. I kept getting a corrupt back up, and set it up as a new phone. When I synced it, it was back to normal!

I deleted my backups and did a brand new backup after upgrading to 8.0/2.1 so I knew I had a fresh and clean backup. I didn't want any carry over to cause any corruption issues.

I updated my iTunes to the new 8.0 software. Is there yet another version of this software out? A "fixed" 8.0 as mentioned above? Please help. If I need to download and install that, then I better get to it, but first, it sounds like i should make a new back up of my phone.
Any info is appreciated. I want to do this right.
Thanks everybody!
