Iphone Head phones problem

Hey I bought an iPhone 3g when it first came out. i am in college and listen to music a lot while walking to class. I use the little control thing on the head phones a lot to skip songs and pause when i get to class.

Well recently the little remote part, clicking to next song, has stopped responding, not completely but it only work 5-10% of the time. There is not visible damage and they have been taken extremely great care of.

Think if i brought them to the apple store they would replace them for me? or could they fix it? Its so useful

they should definitely be covered under the 1-year warranty.

i imagine they'll just give you a new set.
