Here's the situation, i know the phone is locked to AT&T so i know i cant obviously switch to T-mobile, However is it possible to switch between (apple chosen carriers). IE switch from AT&T to O2 mobile. O2 mobile is the carrier for the iphone 3g in the UK.

I got a iphone 3g as a grad gift in the US, but i just graduated from highschool and ill be going off to college in the UK. What are the possible ways to make the phone work on O2's network. Unlock? jail break? pwn?

OR is there something i can do thru AT&T for like a long distance plan or something.

Once unlocked, the iphone should work with any carrier that has a sim card

you can't unlock using software now. You can use Universal Sim or Turbosim to unlock the 3G right now.
