BIG iTunes 8.0 problem!

I installed 8.0 and had nothing but problems with it. Now when I boot my comp msi. pops up and trys to install something called "Destinations" and asks for the cd rom to install???! I installed 7.7 but now it tells me because I had a newer version at one time it can't open iTunes!!!? Any ideas on what to do?:frown:

No...msi is microsoft installer.

The error message I am getting after uninstalling 8.0 with 7.7 is "The file iTunes library .itl" cannot be read because it was created by a newer version of iTunes".
