hi im just wondering if the new ipod headphones announced today would work with the generation 1 ipod touch and iphone 3g

of course. any headphones with the 3.5 mm jack will work with any ipod or iphone esspecially apple specific headphones.

ohh i didnt releaize they also had volume control...
just looke don the apple site and it actually doesnt say theyre compatablie with 1st gen ipod touch or iphones... thats wierd i dont see why they wouldnt work;..

The remote and mic are supported only by iPod nano (4th generation), iPod classic (120GB), and iPod touch (2nd generation). Audio is supported by all iPod models.

im guessing that since the 1st gen ipod touches and the iphones dont have the 2.1 update yet they arent supported so maybe when the 2.1 update comes to us it will be. cuz im pretty sure the new touches come with the 2.1 update already

I read that they will work on the iPhone, just not the volume controls, the mic and play/pause/next button will work.
