I remember drilling a hole in the back of mine, pulling the speaker wires out and cutting them. This so I could play in school without getting busted. If I wanted sound, I just twisted the wires back together. Yeah, I was a "hacker" even back in the 70's!

Basketball was awesome, too. The actual games are still available. I remember when they were like $5 at the stores on sale. I stocked up and gave them out as little Xmas gifts to my coworkers. They were a hit!

Oh, downloaded it for $0.99 and it's fun. The touchscreen is as tactile as the OG game, but at least the sounds are there!

There used to be patterns on the old school white ones where you could score a TD on every play, the only challenge was seeing how many TDs you could score before time ran out. The dark green one had a more random defense.
