Where are my contact pictures stored?

I am probably going to be getting rid of my iPhone soon and would really like to save all my contacts pictures.

Are they stored somewhere I can access? Yes, my phone is jailbroken.

My girlfriend and I are going to join the rest of my Family on a Verizon plan. Instead of paying 130 a month we'll pay 50 a month for all the same features.

Also a few quirks about the iphone are driving me up a wall.

It was definitely helpful but the directory the person said the photos are stored under doesn't exist on my phone :\

As far as I know, they are actually linked to the contact. If you sync with Outlook your contact pictures are visible in Outlook. So I think they are embedded into the contact file. Could be wrong though.
