I just saw this app pop up in the app store and it seems really neat. However I am extremely cheap (and it's still new... who knows how good it is!)... anyone think someone will come out with a free version (or facebook would implement it in their app?)

No testing for you:

Trial one: Screen became pixelated and crashed my phone, hard-rebooted, and now am trying again. Let's see if it redeems itself.

Trial Two: Same thing happened. I may have too many contacts/facebook friends. They probably should have tested this, in addition to giving me the option of syncing in batches.

We're experiencing some issues with a large number of friends as well as MobileMe users (see http://www.omnigensolutions.com/friendsync for updates). We were only able to test on limited devices and Facebook accounts.

An update has been submitted and will be available in about week to address some of the issues.

There is an update expected soon (being approved by Apple) that fixes all reported bugs and should stabilize it.

The next update after that will sync birthdays and change the way images are resized so they don't look pixilated. The new resizing only resizes to the area between the bottom "Answer/Reject" bar and the top bar that shows the caller's name, etc.

The new update has really made this app great. You can now choose the small icons as the pictures (like you see in the iPhone commercials) instead of the full screen. No more crashing either. 5 stars.
