I installed Datacase and used it to put a few files on my iPhone. Now, they're gone. I mean, they're all still listed on the iPhone in Datacase under the "Shared Files" menu, but when I tap on any of them, I just get a blank white screen.

Also, I get an error message whenever I try to copy any new file to Datacase. Whenever I open up an Explorer window with the FTP address in order to see the "Drop Box" and "Shared Files" folders, when I attempt to drag and drop a file into either folder, I get, "An error occurred copying a file to the FTP server. Make sure you have permission to put files on the server".
Details:
200 switching to binary mode
227=192,168,0,104,188,82
550 error opening data fork (file busy or I/O error).

Any help welcomed.

I have read that Datacase recommends deleting the app and reinstalling it if you run into problems.

Their last result is to restore your iPhone to factory standards.

I am debating on getting this application.

I'm dealing with the exact same thing. Unfortunately, I discovered it while sitting in an attorney's office, trying to pull up some particulars for a complaint we were reviewing (why bring the file, I have it all in my phone!).

As mentioned above, DataCase recommends deleting and reinstalling, which I have not had a chance to try yet. If this is going to become an ongoing problem with every software update, I will probably delete the app, as transferring the files through ftp has not been a seamless, problem-free process so far. Hopefully, they will get this fixed.

Where has anyone found Datacase customer support? I could find no indication of customer service on their website.

Update: I did as suggested and deleted, then re-installed Datacase. That seems to have solved the issue. But I don't know what caused the problem in the first place.

I did a reinstall as well and everything is now fine. Their webpage does say that iphone firmware upgrades can break this app, hence the need to reinstall. hth

Thankfully nothing wrong with mine, but I'll keep this in mind.
