Does anyone experience this?
I set it to maximum, but after sometime, after I check i gone down, not fully down but lesser to what I have set it. Is this normal?
My friend IPhone has the same scenario.
Just asking... =):2cool:

I have the same thing going on with mine. I don't think it is normal...It should stay set to whatever you set it to.

I read it was a bug that many were experiencing after 2.0.

I haven't noticed it myself but it could easily be a hidden bug of the 2.0 software. I have to ask though, are you positive you're not accidentally hitting the toggle switch with your hand?

i tried setting it to a minimum,
sleep mode, press volume up many times
check sound, still the same.
with the same setting tried to press
volume up on home, ringer bar goes up, checked
sounds, still at a minimum, but when press volume up on
sounds it automatically goes to maximum in one push of a button.
hmmmmm

This is a known bug and a pain in the a$$. The only fix is a restore and sometimes it takes several restores.

Add me to the list. Mine has been doing it since 2.0 on both my version1 phone and my 3g

I am having the same problem as I can't hear it ring on top volume in my handbag so I have no chance when it turns the volume down by itself. Nice to know I'm not the only one with this problem but Apple fix this soon

Are you guys also using a bluetooth headset? Turning the volume up and down on a BT headset, also raises and lowers the iPhone volume.

well i know that when you plug in your headphones the volume automaticly changes to what you last had when your headphones were plugged in so make sure this is not the reason alot of you guys are notices volume decreases. try it and see for yourself plug in headphones and put the volume somwere then unplug and watch the volume go back up

please listen. This is a known bug. The op's problem is a known issue. I've had four 3g's and three had this problem. A full restore fixes this and nothing else will. One phone took several restores.
