login on main page?

I noticed that as of the past few days I can't login on the main homepage of EIC anymore. There used to be a login/password field on the right side of the page. Is this happening for anyone else? It was really convenient, please fix it!! Now you have to go to the forums and login there. I am using firefox and safari 3.1 on a mac.
