hooking iphone 3g to my in-dash dvd in car

has anyone tried using av cables to hook iphone up in there car? can u use the dvd screen just the same as if it was on the iphone itself? maybe even a cable to hook into the plug for ipods?

I hooked my iphone up to my Kenwood DNX8120 from time to time, although I've never tried to play movies it plays my mp3's just fine.

you can but you need an ipod cable that connects to the port in your deck and i have not been able to find one, if you know where let me know
