Push email question

Why is it that email sent to me iphone via exchange push works just fine, but when I send mail from my lap top it will not be pushed to my sent mail folder on the iphone unless I manually go in and update (fetch) items in the send folder??

My sense is that Exchange "push" is downward only--in other words, similar to MobileMe's implementation of a psuedo ActiveSync, computer-based push up to the Exchange cloud may not exist yet. Either that or Exchange will sync but not push--which is every so often, just not instantly. That is probably designed to cut down on bandwidth hogging.
