Edge dissapeared

I have a 4gig iphone with 2.0.1 fw on t-mobile and today all of a sudden the Edge icon has dissapeared, anyone have any ideas why?

Mine does that to me all the freaking time.... Though I'm on AT&T. My internet just up and stops working, but I still can use the phone and text.

I've found that it usually only does it when I'm at work and have very crappy signal. That could be the cause.

Mine used to be just a box very now and then, you wouldn't see the 'E'.on AT&T.
