I am thinking of selling my iphone 3g 16g Black and I am wondering what I could get for it. I have been watching ebay the past few days but wanted to get some more opinions on the matter. The is absolutley NOTHING wrong with the phone and have the box and everything. Just curios If I do sell how much I can expect. Also It is JB

I think that is only for unlocked iphones. Meaning they can work on t-mobile.

Why would someone buy one on ebay for $800 when they can get a new one for $300?

Sorry, that's I meant, for unlocked one... That way they don't have to sign a contract with att.

i say you could let it go for 600-800 but you have a better chance of getting it sold for a lower 500-600 price. jus depends on the time you are willing to wait

I would let it go for $600. It'll cost a little more than $600 to buy one and then cancel the contract. So slightly used, it should sell quick for $600.

So they won't be stuck with a 2 year contract.

However, you could just start up a new contract and pay the subsidized price then terminate your account for a certain amount ($175?) which will still be cheaper than the eBay price of $800. On top of that, I think its illegal to charge termination fees in some states so you can probably get a 16GB for $300 without a contract if you try really hard.
