Solution to the Textarea Scrollbars problem?

Is there a solution to getting scrollbars to display in Textareas on an iPhone? I have a website with a lot of text and need to vertically scroll down the text.

The two finger solution is a joke. Is there any workaround or tip/trick to getting vertical scrollbars to display in a Textarea?
