4)navigate to private/var/mobile/applications/XXXX <--whichever folder has slots.app
5)replace entire folder with new one (you can either rename it or delete it)

7)play

there is a changelog in the main folder where i will try and keep an updated list =)

i welcome any comments and suggestions

So im making a slot machine program for the iPhone and im halfway done but i realize i need some sound files! If anyone is going to vegas or any casino that has the Goldfish slot game, and willing to help me out, i would really appreciate it! it should take no longer than 10 minutes of your gambling time, and ill reimburse any money spent to do this. it shouldnt take more than 10 bucks....) If you have an iPhone, i will definitely give you this program before anyone else when i am done.
You will even be mentioned in the credits!!!

I've put together what i call "Project Goldfish". As you might figure out, it's the Goldfish Video Slot Machine game that you find in the casinos, and im porting it over to the iPhone.

i need a "as clear as can be" audio recording (video recordiing is good too but not necessary) of

- the music that plays while the wheel is spinning. best way to get a continuous loop is to play the minimum amount (1 cent) by hitting the repeat bet button over and over again. the length should be no longer than 2 minutes. make sure the machine's speakers are on high.

- the music that plays during "Pick a Can". Just let the cans dance for a minute and a half then you can continue playing.

just some shots of what i have so far. all the reel pictures are in place ( i even have animation for the "wild"), i just need to redo some fonts, do the bonus round, and of course insert the music.

for those that already have the "Reel Deal Slots" program, you might have guessed, its a replacement program for "Riches of the Rainforest". More of a hack actually.

sorry if theres a better topic to put this under. mods feel free to move to a more suitable one.

The joints I go do not have those machines, next time I will look around. There's Casino's all over the U.S. now so somebody should be able record it.

I'm pretty sure this stuff is copyrighted. Have you thought of contacting the game manufacturer?

1) They will certainly be able to provide the sound files.
2) They might want some of the profit, but doing so will authorize your app. I'm sure adding $1 to the cost of the app would more than cover their share and you might get some help from them since they are now your partner and they have a vested interest in seeing your app succeed.
3) If they do authorize the app, you can be rest assured that the app won't get pulled like the tris app did.
4) Be careful about maintaining creative control of the app if you do go into an agreement with them.
5) Get everything in writing.

Most definitely it is copyrighted, in fact patented by WMS Gaming. I have sent an email to them regarding the matter but have yet to hear a reply. It is such a huge company that i don't know if it even went through. If i ever go about distributing any copies, they will of course be freeware mentioning all respective rights and properties. Although i have spent countless nights altering the coding and images, all the images are NONE of my own doing so i don't intent on infringing on any copyrights, let alone try to make money off of anyone else's ideas.

Your idea of making it into an actual money making app approved by the original company would be freakin awesome but i doubt it would ever get that far. thanks for the suggestions though! :laugh2:

Use a slot soundboard. Rip the real sounds and barely modify, do anything but contact the make of "gold fish". Real slot

Whoa talk about reviving this thread from the dead! I did go to vegas last month and got the files I needed. It's just a matter of plugging them in and tweaking it. Should have my first workable "beta" over the weekend :)

ok i have the first nonbuggy beta ready. whats a good site to upload 31 mb? you will need to replace the complete slot.app folder on your iphone (private/var/mobile/applications/XXXX <--whichever folder has slots.app) with this one.

you can upload the file via www.sendspace.com (http://www.sendspace.com)
Will this work on the iTouch Ipod? I don't have the iPhone, just
the touch iPod.

And exactly how would I add this to my phone?
I've never went in and added anything, so it's all new to me.

Can't wait!!!
