Got my phone Fri night, have not activated yet because of problems people have had. Do you think its better to try now or Mon.

Are you an existing ATT customer or are you planning on porting a number over?

not all people are having problems and it never hurts to try so go ahead i was able to activate the first day hours after purchasing and the next morning also. (because i had reformatted my iphone) but yeah go ahead and try activating its not like itll mess up your iphone if it doesnt work
edit.. i guess it depends on whether your an existing customer or not. well i am an existing customer so maybe thats why it worked so easily fo rme

My husband was also an existing customer and switched from a razr. Took him almost 40 hours to activate, and it only happened after I called the 877 number posted here and the rep there activated him while I was on the phone.
Maybe you'll have better luck. I hope so!

I was with sprint and tried to port my number over. Itunes said I couldn't do that and I hadn't read this thread (http://www.everythingiphone.com/forum/iphone/if-you-cannot-port-your-number-read-this-3392.html) yet so I just started a new account with ATT and it took literally 2-3 minutes and I was up and running with a new number.
