It's not the greatest quality video, but it's proof that video can be done with software.

There's already an extensive thread about this in the modifications section.

It's basically useless as far as video cameras go. Plus it's $20! But it does show what's possible...


Theres a free one also that lacks audio.. Neither one are worth having other than just to check it out...

I just use the app "qik" from cydia which streams video and saves it on a website.

the new one although it has no audio the video is the best its going to be on the iphone its very very usable for home movies... 8 gig phone can do just over 5 hours of straight recording

I posted this in the 3rd party apps section.

Here's a sample vid I did with Cycorder on my iPhone 3G. Quality is great for camera phone. Now all we need is an update with audio & we're set.

Wow the quality of Cycorder is very good. If the audio ever comes along ill be stoked.

Is there any official stance from Apple on why the h3ll they refuse to release any video apps for the phone?!!?

Steve-o just doesn't feel like it yet? Too busy to get around to it, even though most other phone already have it?

Apple makes little sense to me on some seemingly obvious things.....
