Just wanted to put up a little info about the AppStore App called "Pocketpedia"
I just have to say Pocketpedia rocks!!!! By itself its ok, but team it up with DVDpedia on your MAC and its AMAZING!!! Best dual combo DVD catalogging software out there I have to say.
So what it does is it syncs your DVD catalog on your MAC (dont think its a PC thing) The only issue is it DOES NOT sync your list FROM your iPhone TO your MAC (but thats really not much of an issue once you use it and see how it works. Really not needed) but it DOES sync FROM your MAC TO your iPhone. This isnt for syncing movies, it just syncs the "catalog" of what you own. This is great to have in your pocket when shopping for new DVDs. Every once in a while I see some random DVD for sale and say "Shoot I cant remember if I have that or not" Now I can just open up Pocketpedia and scroll and see if i do or not. When I get home I scan the DVD with DVDpedia on my MAC then on my iPhone I click "sync" and boom I got my catalog list in my pocket.
I have about 600+ DVDs in my collection and decided to test it out. I used a DEMO copy of DVDpedia to start and see how the syncing and everything worked. FLAWLESSLY!!!! The cool thing about DVDpedia is that it uses your webcam or built in iSight cam to scan the barcode and add the DVD to your catalog. I would say it was about 75% effective for my collection. A few I had to key in by name and do a search and it did eventually find every DVD I own. It also tags the DVD with the cover picture, reviews, summary of the movie, Genre, Relase date, Thearter Release date, Est value, Sound, Rating, Aspect Ratio, etc etc etc.
If you have a large collection of DVDs its a great way to catalog them and have them in your pocket at a moments notice.
Oh yeah it will also do "Games" and "Books" and you can also buy Gamepedia and Bookpedia if you want to catalog those and sync as well. I havent tried either yet, but I'm going to assume that it works just as well.
If anyone has any questions or anything feel free to shoot me a PM
**Shoot, can a mod move this into the AppStore section I thought I was there**
