how to know if your iphone is unlocked jailbrocken?

i have ATT but the phone i bought the guy said its jail brocken and unlocked, how can i check that its both? thx

Well if it is jailbroken it will have cydia and/or installer on it. If it is unlocked, I have no idea how tell if it is. Why do you need to know? If you have AT&T then it shouldn't matter, unless you are not eligible to change your plan to an iPhone plan....

if it unlocked it will work with all carriers you should try using a sim from another carrier, if it works it`s unlocked

ok awesome, so unlocked = i can use other carriers and jailbrocken = i have installer?

person who sold me had Tmobile and it has installer so i think im good to go :) thx!

jailbroken means u can install 3rd party apps from installer or cyndia
