All Tunes and Vids Disappear

Ok, this has now happened twice to me.
JB 2.01
Everything is fine then "boom", nothing shows in the iPod app on the phone.
Go to sync it and it shows Music and Vid is there.
In fact I saw them there earlier on iPhone.
Anyone else seeing this problem. Can't tie it to anything I did yet.

That happened to me twice on my first generation iPhone (not jailbroken). The first time I panicked and did a full restore, which fixed it. The second time it happened, I tried re-starting it and that fixed it. Never happened again. I'd suggest a simple restart before you do anything drastic to start with the next time it happens.

Ya, did that.
Nothing changed.
About to restore again. Sheesh.
Weird that it shows everything still there in iTunes.
Its like a symbolic link got lost somewhere and the iPod just cant see it anymore.

It might be a DRM issue. Check out this link:

Although it refers to 2.0.2, the symptoms sound quite similar to yours.

Thanks, I had seen that article but couldn't see how I could lose DRM so suddenly.
I think I may have a clue tho.
I had installed DialOne (I think that is the name) from the Installer. It is a one touch quick dialer which I had before on 1.1.4 and liked. I had just installed that each time.
This just occurred to me of course!
So I am now Restored, and in the middle of syncing.
I will NOT install that again and see what happens. Wonder if anyone else has tried that program and had problems.
Of course as soon as I get this fixed the Update will come out to JB 2.02! LOL

I've had this glitch before. If it were a DRM issue, iTunes would tell you "this was not copied to the iPhone because you are not authorized for it on this computer" - as far as I know, it's only fixable by restore. Which unfortunately for me, means 5 hours of wait...

I fixed it by uninstalling all my apps. Then all my music came back.
Reinstalled all apps and everything is fine.
Try this before restoring, takes less time.

Sometimes just installing a new song, video, or app will correct everything when you sync. I've been having this problem off and on for about a week.
