Can I use other carrier's sim now?
Or is there a Cydia app that will do this for me?

I thought you had to unlock it to be able to use it on another carrier

quickpwn doesn't give unlock option. I think there may be an app to do this for me on a v1 phone.

I'm at a loss when it comes to jailbreaking/unlocking...but I'm sure someone else with more knowledge will step in and help shortly

No. Quik Pawn only jailbrakes, which means your phone is "opened up" to allow 3rd party apps that are/are not available via itunes.

To use your phone on another carrier other than AT&T, you must "unlock" it, (a completley different term than "jailbrake"), and that requires a little more effort than quick pawn offers. Search this site with keywords like "ipawn" and "unlock" and you'll find your holy grail. Do not update to the latest firmware as unlocking a phone always lags behind the newest update since a way must be found.....
