For me the issue hasn't really been about speed of loading websites, rather the unpredictable handoff between 3G and EDGE. At times, with both firmware updates, there is almost a 10 second lag between the time 3g drops and EDGE picks up. If loading a webpage, loading hangs or even crashes Safari.

you would think this guy could turn off the tv in the background. Also why doesn't he just do a speed test on http://www.inetworktest.com/iphone_content. It would have been more powerful to do a quantitative demonstration.

I have had almost no problems loading webpages, no lag, no slow speeds on 3G, and no continuously dropping to EDGE. My only problem is the texting lag. That video does seem pretty ridiculous, my V1 iPhone on EDGE is way faster than that.

I thought the same thing too, but then I remember seeing a video on the iPhone vs. instinct and even though the instinct was getting a faster connection, the iPhone was rendering every page quicker and finishing faster. So maybe thats what the guy in the vid was trying to show???
