Ipod in 3g iphone

I seem to be having trouble when I play my ipod in my iphone. I go to use the shuffle feature and it only allows me to play one song, and doesn't shuffle to the next song.....it will repeat the same song.....anyone have any ideass???

Turn off the repeat. Tap the artwork, look for a small racetrack symbol to the left of the scrubber bar. Tap it. White is no repeat, blue is repeat all, blue with a number 1 is repeat one.
