You will need to restore your iPhone.

...and it's getting old. Apple needs to roll out an Update.

Don't restore. Why does everyone do this first?

Try these:

1. Reboot your phone. Turn you phone off (power it off) then power it back on.

2. If that doesn't work, uninstall and reinstall the apps.

There are more, but for goodness sakes, there's no need to restore.

I said the same thing at first, but that has been the only fix for me.

Dinosaur1 let us know if that worked for you uninstall/reinstall

I will not restore. That's going overboard.

Well disclose that. Say what you did, and then say "as a last resort, *I* had to restore. Don't just tell people to restore blindly. That's like telling someone to format their computer b/c they can't find a bitmap image file.

Agree. Most time a reboot or a hard reset will solve the problem. And don't worry about paid for apps. If you delete it from your phone, you won't be charged twice to download again.

Like I said, I said the same as you did. Why is every fix a restore. Even the corrupt backup thing I thought was a joke, but sure enough after the 2.0.1 update iTunes even said my back up was corrupt.

I followed that advice you gave (may even had been yours). Uninstalling and reinstalling apps had the same results (why would apps that I had never used even crash) did that several times. Even a hard reset didn't do it. It wasn't until I had GPS issues that I tried a restore. Sure enough it was fixed and turned out to be a corrupt file.

I have had to restore my phone twice since July 11. I have heard others have done it more.

This was the first person I believe I told to restore and did so because he describe the same issue I have had twice.

I'm not trying to debate you, the more people that help, the better. I still stand by my point that you should have listed your process, as you did before. Don't just skip to the end. Just because the in between steps didn't work for you, doesn't mean they won't work for someone else. That's all.

Cheers.

just uncheck the box on iTunes and sync, then check it and sync again. Removes and reinstalls them.

Just reboot the phone and see what happens. If the problem isn't fixed, resync it. If that doesn't work, restore it.

a restore and resync should work for you if a simple reboot does not
