Is there a way to connect my iphone via the usb to a friends computer, and just play the music off my phone without using the headset audio connecter?

I was at my buddies house and thought, why not listen to my iphone off his klipsh computer speakers.

I know the line out off the sync cable is cleaner / not amped like the headphone out.

I'm guessing that if i pwned my phone it would be able to do what im talking bout, but its it poss without pwning it?

i havent tried it with my iphone but i used to be able to do it with my iphone mini
make sure you dont sync it to his computer though

it should show up under devices and you can just play the music

It works with my buddys ipod mini, just tried it with my iphone and it only shows the pictures and nothing else.

You can't do this without syncing or jailbreaking. I don't know of any way to do this with jailbreaking other than copying over the music files using ssh. (which is pretty easy.)

you can jus make sure that your iphone is set so that it doesn't automatically sync when its connected but instead set it to manually manage songs, this will give you access to the songs from your iphone through your friends computer
