Dont even bother.. 1st Gen iPhone, 2.0.1 custom firmware.. It's trashed.. I can't get 7.5 to even recognize it.. I now have a worthless paper weight!

I've tried everything I KNOW to get it back, but even in iTunes 7.5, the phone isn't seen..

Didnt work for me.. I'm stuck.. I tried doing the reinstall of 7.5 and put 1.1.4 firmware on.. Itunes couldnt see phone.. Now I'm back with 7.7 in and its just sitting here.. Saying "Preparing to restore".. Been like this for 20 mins..

Yes, 7.7 is required for FW 2.0 and higher.
