I've been reading a lot of complaints about 3G signal issues along with problems with the GPS. I live in Chicago and I haven't run into either of these problems. I usually have full 3G reception and the GPS always locates where I am with the pin drop.

I think the major issue everyone is having comes from sub par 3G coverage in other areas by AT&T and not the actual iPhone itself.

Aaaaaaand thats my two cents for the day.

Just to add a bit...

I live in Houston and have experienced none of the 3G signal issues or the GPS issues. So far, we are rock'n!

Dallas has all 5 bars. It's amazing everywhere! That is.. except my house. Haha.

my GPS works 9 times out of 10 and my 3G is almost always there, but I run pretty slow most the time, like 300 to 400kbps....

My GPS usually works. My 3G is there all the time when I'm out of the house but when I am here at my house its on wifi, EDGE, or one bar of 3G. I hope the rumored software update Apple comes out with fixes the connection issues. =/

I live in San Diego and travel between cities for business throughout Los Angeles. When I have 3G coverage -- its great, but I also notice that for two major cities there is a lot of dead zones as well as 1-bar 3G signals. For California this not great and I wonder if others have noticed this and are having these additional issues

1. Echo sounds back to the earpiece when on 3G calls

2. Lots of dropped calls when cycling between poor 3G signals and transferring to Edge
