gmail forwarded to @me acct, not being pushed

anyone else experiencing this? I havent had many problems with my mobile me account except that i have my gmail account being forwarded to mobileme. Lately my gmail thats being forwarded isnt being pushed to my iphone, its not even checking every 15minutes i have to go in and manually check. but if something gets sent directly to my mobileme address it gets pushed right away.

anyone know if this is a gmail issue or mobileme issue and how it can be corrected?

I have Gmail and MobileMe on the iPhone, but have them as separate accounts, so I don't have it set up this way. What might be happening is that the .me servers aren't allowing relayed e-mail (i.e. sent from the Gmail servers to the .me servers) to be pushed. That would prevent people from using MobileMe as a push solution for any account, a.k.a BlackBerry. Although there might be another reason for it (i.e. MM mail is just flaky), this makes sense to me.
