Iphone at BestBuy

Not sure if this has been listed here, but I overheard some AT&T reps saying that Bestbuy could start selling iphones as early as September 7ish.

The rumor is true. I would buy it from Apple/AT&T though if I were you because they should have iPhones in stock everyday by then. And those Best Buy salespeople always try to sell you insurance you don't need and it always ends up screwing you over in the end. I'd purchase mine at Apple if I were you.

I thought the extended warranty was a 1 time fee.

To get extended warranty on the iPhone, you have to purchase AppleCare. I don't invest in AppleCare except for my computers because I get a new phone almost every year-two years and have never broken any of my phones.
