how do I make the 3g learn words ?

I am tired of entering a "w" standing for "With" and having it changed to an "a"..

entering 4 times or using the "w" earlier in the text does not make it understand.

Pretty sure there is a tutorial on apples website about entering text and teaching the program to remember your specific words, I'd tell you how but it's been awhile since I've seen it, so I might check it out again to jog my few remaining brain cells. :foot:

Ive never had that work for me. I want my dictionary to learn "yo" and it always wants to change it to "to". No matter how many times I x it out it never learns it and it is quite annoying when I wanna talk gangsta yo

It should be adding your word to the dictionary after the 3 times like the other users have said but sometimes it takes a few more tries. There are a few words I must have Xed out 20 times before the dictionary seemed to pick up on them.

I also think it has something to do with the keystrokes and whether the auto-correction will count it. Say that you want to say "yo" but you hit "uo" 2 times and "yi" 2 times. Despite the fact that you canceled out "to" 4 times, it won't count until each combo has been Xed 3 times. I have no idea if that's true but it seems to make sense to me.

just give it a little more time and be patient with it. mine did that too but after i X'd it out so many times it didn't happen anymore and i havent had any trouble since :D
So, my suggestion: be patient.
