As said in the title, is Kate only option for smart dial?
As a former WM phone user, I miss smart dial feature  since iPhone don't offer such and I just found out Kate has smart dial function.

But it seems Kate has some problem when installed, also the price is a little stiff. :frown: so I wanted to ask here before I (might) make the purchase.

Thanks in advance.

I don't know about Kate. But Tapdial allows you to add contacts to your Springboard, dial them instantly. Seems like it's a free useful app. There's also Intelliscreen (there's a 10 day trial, and you have to pay after that). It has a feature called Intellidial. You can dial your Favorite contacts from the lock screen by clicking the home button twice. (that's was the feature i was sold on and ended up buying the app)

This 3rd party program for jailbreak phones works pretty well. It has some similar features I believe, to Kate. It does have a Intellidial. On the "slide to unclock" screen you can click the home button and it will allow you to scroll through photos of your favorites phone list & dial them.
I've been very happy with it.
