I have a HUGE problem: the touch screen doesn't work anymore!

The last week it happened sometimes that the touch screen
didn't work for a while (20-30 mins)
Now it seems completely stuck:
I turned it on this morning but I can't do anything,
I suppose the phone is working properly, but I can't use it
since the touch screen is no more sensible.

Have you ever had the same problem? suggestions?

I have an old iphone, unlocked and jailbreaked (firmware: 1.0.2, never upgraded 'cause I don't know how to unlock it afterwards:smile:)

restore it to factory firmware and return it to the apple store, im sure this qualifies as a hardware defect as long as your warranty is still active.

by this do you mean re-virginize?

don't you think they can see from the serial of the phone that I have used it for almost one year without having an active AT&T contract?

please remember that I can't use the phone (touchscreen doesn't work)

Just connect it to iTunes and update it to the latest firmware (currently 2.0.1). If the slide to unlock still doesn't work then that means you have a hardware problem (which is actually not that uncommon). If it has been less than a year since your purchase, you are covered by the 1 year warranty and they will gladly give you a refurbished one. Let me know if this helps and good luck!
