Freeze, crash, freeze, crash, turn off for no reason, reset for no reason, freeze, crash, soft reset, ok for a day, freeze, crash, freeze, crash.
I feel like I am using my old motorola Q. At least that took MMS's.

I would really like to know why some have your problem and some like myself have a slight lag problem but really no other issues. It is really baffling.

Me too. Maybe my software is corrupt, I am just sick of restoring my phone.

Same here. Until I jailbroke (now it is freeze, crash, freeze, lag, reboot, etc, but I expected that) my 2.0 and 2.0.1 were rock solid.

There is a little theory going around the forum and I am trying to see if it has any merit.
Have you ever clicked the X in itunes to abort a backup and continue with the sync?

What's the theory Don? I alerted the forum to the fact that you can press the 'x' to stop the backup. I did suffer from a corrupt backup, but it's fine now.

Another member here thinks just what you stated and that the corrupt backup is causing the long syncs.
Did you do anything to correct your problem in relation to the corrupt backup?

I have done that with the same back up times. All it does is not send the errors so I stopped. Apple NEEDS this error information.

Raises hand. And I stand by my suspicions!

I thought it was you but wasn't positive so I didn't want to mention names.
Hope my post didn't come across as doubtful because I think it may have some merit and am just trying to help with the "research".

No worries. I sincerely believe if it is in the middle or even just starting the backup process and you close it the file becomes corrupt.
Krunk83, as for Apple needing this information, don't ya think they already have more reports than they care to sort right now? And when you click the X it doesn't prevent the diagnostics to be sent to Apple. It actually stops the back up. Whether or not the diagnostics are sent to Apple is determined when you set your phone up and chose Yes or No to allow the information to be sent.

Ok, let me clerify myself. I am speaking of the actual 2.0.1 software and not a corrupt back up. My back up is fine but the software still sucks and freezes and crashes all the time. Maybe 2.0.1 is meant more for the 3G phones and is buggy on the V1 Iphone.

This is what I was referring to. dturner asked if you ever click the X and that was your reply.
