Cannot record voicemail greeting

When I try to "Record" an custom VM greetiing nothing happens. The button does not change to stop and nothing is recorded. Subsequent calls to VM play a few seconds of silence. I have tried with and without headphones connected with no effect. Suggestions? Since no one knows my new # the default greeting is useless.

Yep, same prob here. Have to use the default for now. Weird stuff.

Powered phone on and off and it worked now. Duh!!! If all else fails, reset :)
