silly question.....should 841 songs take up 3.6 gigs

i also have about 100 ring tones in addition.......just seems way to high

Nope that's about right. Figure about a meg a minute roughly. Most songs are about 4 minutes. This of course varies, as does bitrate, but even with those rough estimates, you're pretty close.
