does the warranty cover lint under the screen?
I purchased the 3g about 2 weeks ago.

What does it look like? I thought I had something under the screen of my v1 and it was a bubble in the glass. I got my iphone exchanged 2 times for this.

There have been some problems with the screen not being flush on the 3G. This might be where the lint is getting in. Weather it is this or bubbles, the warranty would certainly cover it. Off the the Apple Store.

It's def not a bubble, I noticed it when I was texting outside. There's about 3 or 4 pieces and it's really bugging me! So I guess I'm off to the apple store to see what they say.

So I took it back to Apple and exchanged it no questions asked. Didnt even have an appointment. Also my buddy found out if you press the sleep/wake button and the home button at the same time it takes a screen shot and saves it in your pics. (kinda cool)

Glad to see that your phone was replaced with no issues. The screenshot app has been around but it definitely one of the cooler features of 2.0.

I had to return mine because the glass wasn't flush, it was above the bezel in some places and way below in others. It was a very painless process that took no more than 10 minutes. I have been really pleased with the way apple has treated me so far.

I had lint under my iPhone screen. Took it to Apple Genius Bar with 3 days left on my warranty and they replaced my screen within 5 minutes. I documented the whole process here http://krashr.com/2009/07/lint-under-iphone-screen/

Yes, if it is just a lint it will definitely be covered. You can call or just visit an Apple store.
