I've had my Iphone for about two weeks and put I.S. on the day I got it. Over the last couple days I've gotten three big scratches in the shield. I work outdoors in an environment with a lot of sawdust. I'm wondering if these scratches will heal themselves, or if I have to stop keeping my phone with me.

I did tree work for a little while back in the day. I would never keep it in my pocket. At the very least, leave it in the truck. That dust gets everywhere as you well know. It can get in the headphone jack and in the speaker holes. Too risky IMO.

I agree with turner, I would not let it get too close to that stuff, even the lint in my pocket is not safe. The car might not even be that could of an alternative. I am not sure where you are from, but if it gets even remotely warm, cars are even hotter. Having the iPhone exceed certain temperatures are good for the insides.

I usually have to carry a phone with me for safety reasons. When I am actually working I keep the phone in a pouch on my climbing harness.
The scratches just happened in the last two days. Yesterday I was doing estimates, and today I went golfing (too nice a day to work). My main question is if anyone has gotten scratches in their I.S. and if they actually "healed" the way the claim

if it's needed badly to carry with you do what I do. I use my spy sunglasses bag to put my phone in. Sinch the drawstring and it's secure.

to answer your question; yes they will to away unless the scratches have ripped the IS. I had 3 scratches on mine and they were gone in a couple of days. I do use a micro fiber a couple of times a day to clean off my phone I'm not sure if that has anything to do with it.
