Is there a way to copy contacts on the SIM card on the old Iphone? I figure this would be easy, but I can't figure it out. My 3G will be here by the end of the week and wanted to know exactly what to do to get my contacts off my old one without having to manually enter.

Is there a benefit to taking out the old SIM card on the original Iphone before I sell? I see a ton of phones on ebay listed with no sim and was just curious.

Thanks for all your help.

Just make sure you sync your contacts/calendar data/email accounts to your computer and all your data should be there.

When you buy the iPhone 3G, you're getting a new SIM card, so you really don't need to fuss with old/new SIMs. At least not with my experience.

When you plug in your new iPhone 3G to your computer, iTunes should ask you if you want to restore a backup of your old phone. Let it restore, and when it's done, go into the Info tab under iPhone in iTunes and scroll to the bottom and select what you want to transfer from your computer to your new phone and sync.

If you go to settings-mail,contacts,calendars-import sim contacts you can do it from there.
And yes do take out the old sim before selling.
