Completely empty? What do you see when you turn it on? What happens when you connect it to your computer (iTunes should open and "see it")?

YES, completely empty, the only thing I see, is when I load the battery by connecting the usb cable to my laptop is "CHARGING" and the picture of "battery" showing that is chargin (with a green like color).
That's it, if you can help me , I would really appreciate that, any advise is great.
THANKS SAUL

Do you have iTunes installed on your computer? Does it open when you connect the iPod Touch?
If not, download iTunes from Apple here (http://www.apple.com/itunes/download/)and then describe what happens when you connect your iPod Touch to your computer after that's done. Also, are you on a PC or a Mac?

I already have itunes on my PC, when i connect the itouch to the PC, nothing happens, it won't see the itouch at all, i have seen with other itouch, that when you connect it to the PC itunes, immediattely reads the itouch then you can sync it, HOWEVER, when i do the same with my itouch absolutely nothing happens, as i mentioned before is empty, no OS X at all, in fact i can even access the flash memory using windows explorer ans it is really empty.
PLEASE ADVISE ANY SOLUTION
SAUL THANKS

What happens when you reset the iPod Touch? To reset iPod touch, press and hold the Sleep/Wake button and the Home button at the same time until you see the Apple logo.
Also, try these instructions (http://remorse.nl/weblog/force_a_restore_of_an_ipod_touch/) to force your iPod to restore if resetting doesn't help. If none of these work, I'm out of suggestions, but hopefully someone else here can help.

If it truly is empty, then get that replaced quick before Apple thinks you had something to do with it.

And right there's your problem. I'm sorry to have to say this, but I think you've just bought a brick.

A replica? That's why - you are not going to be able to install Apple's software on that at all. Apple makes their software to be installed on hardware they produce and design only (and doing otherwise typically requires major hacking). I haven't heard of anyone installing the iPod Touch or iPhone firmware on anything other than an Apple product. You should sell it and get a real iPod Touch, IMHO...

Honestly, it would have been useful if that little tidbit was on the original post.

why not just buy a normal iPod touch? Was the price difference really that great?
